Gulf of Mexico Classic SPAR Fabrication

EPIC Management Resources, LLC provide the construction management and QAQC inspection of the first classic SPAR hull to be built in the Gulf of Mexico. The internally stiffened classic SPAR hull has dimensions of 85’ OD x 584’, weighs 12,760 short tons and has approximately 10,000 bbls of dry oil storage. The hull will accommodate an 8,500 ton topside production facility with a nameplate capacity of 60,000 BOPD, 25,000 BWPD and 200 MMSCFD. The platform is ABS classed and is installed in over 4,000’ of water.

 

The SPAR was outfitted with the following:

  • 9 x 5” mooring lines

  • Multiple production risers and export oil and gas risers

  • 18 SS chemical storage vessels (10- 100 bbl vessels and 8-200 bbl vessels)

  • 16,800 gal potable water storage

  • 1120 bbl methanol storage tank

  • 1120 bbl diesel storage tank

  • Fire water pumps

  • MCC building
